Literature

Several hundred studies and publications about/with isokinetic testing systems have been published since the invention of the isokinetic testing method (see for example the literature list ‚Publications’ in on eiscsa.com). Today’s systems of upper price class, where also CON-TREX products are positioned, show similarities in construction, behaviour and application, and are related well enough in view of testing accuracy and –possibilities, so that studies about/with systems of other manufacturers may be refered to as well for this clinical evaluation.

Scientific publications, books and publications from the internet have been used for this literature research. Since most publications list both advantages and drawbacks of isokinetic testing methods, the selection includes favourable as well as less favourable publications.
Software and accuracy of measurements of isokinetic test and training systems have changed substantially within the years. For this reason, publications published prior to 1994 had been excluded from the list below.

Many of the published studies had been summarized and interpreted in the two book publications as well as in the two articles providing an overview. The selection of the research for literature is therefore limited to some individually sorted out publications.
